The project is organised by ITE Exhibitions & Conference Ltd. (UK), EUF (Turkey) and ITE Moscow LLC (Russia).
The conference and exhibition are supported by the communications ministries and national telecommunications corporations of such countries as Turkey, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Tajikistan, Armenia, Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova, Mongolia, Iran, Afghanistan, Greece and Romania, as well as by international organisations and leading media outlets.
The organisers expect 500 delegates from 20 countries to take part in Caspian Telecoms 2010.
According to the delegates of the annual conference, the event is of great interest and has a practical result. The interest of regional operators in high-tech solutions will, in the near future, lead to close cooperation in the field of telecommunications, which will facilitate the development of the countries in question.
State delegations will discuss regional cooperation and socio-economic development, as well as investment in national and regional telecommunications networks. It’s no secret that, in recent years, the importance of the so-called “Caspian factor” in international politics has increased. Close attention is being paid to the region. There is great interest in the telecommunications market of the Caspian countries, many of which are rich in natural resources and have great potential for growing the subscriber base. It is, therefore, not surprising that, along with the communications administrations and telecommunications operators of these countries, the conference is attended by equipment manufacturers, telecoms operators, financial institutions and international organisations.
In 2010, the organisers plan to increase the number of countries participating in the conference and will invite Iran, Bulgaria, Afghanistan and others, in order to make the programme even more interesting and to improve the session on investment in the telecommunications sector of the CIS.
